Covid Risk Assessment - 09/11/20

  • Please use the hand sanitiser located at various points throughout the building.
  • Face masks must be worn unless seated at your table. Children under 11 are exempt. Staff will also wear facemasks.
  • Maximum groups of 4 unless from the same household (in which case there is no maximum). Children under 11 and carers of a member of the group are excluded from this mix.
  • On entering you will be asked to provide details for track and trace unless this has already been provided at the time of booking. This must include details of everyone in your group. Please be patient during this process and if a queue forms ensure social distancing is adhered to. Groups of more than 4 will be asked for verification of their address to ensure that they are all from the same household.
  • Please observe social distancing at all times. Children are welcome but must remain seated.
  • Socially distanced table service only.
  • Menus will be laminated and taken away by staff to be thoroughly disinfected between use. On occasions single use paper menus may be used - to avoid waste you will receive one menu per table.
  • If you are ordering food, cutlery and condiments will be brought out with your order.
  • A strict one in one out system will be in place for toilets. A parent may accompany a child.
  • The disabled toilet is for disabled and staff use only.
  • Always be aware of social distancing and give way to others as appropriate. Particularly as we are no longer operating a one way system.
  • All tables and chairs will be cleaned and disinfected between use and toilets and other public areas and high contact points such as door handles will be cleaned and wiped down throughout service. Likewise, kitchen staff will maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene. We otherwise already operate a deep cleaning regime throughout the premises including bedrooms, being very mindful of the COVID risk.
  • Payment will be taken at your table. Contactless card payment preferred but we will also accept cash.
  • Last drinks orders will be sounded at 9.45 pm. No drinks will be served after 10.00 pm. All customers must vacate the property by 10.20 pm. Residents must also vacate public areas by 10.20 pm.
  • We are responsible for ensuring compliance to these rules, please respect any requests made by our staff and above all come and enjoy your time here at the Usk and Railway Inn.
